Gursikh hai oh poore gur ton ang sang rab nun jane jo;
Neevan ho ke haumain chhadde sachcha raah pachhane jo. Gursikh oh hai jo gur dasse us utte itbaar kare; Bhana manne mittha bole gursikhan naal pyar kare. Pal pal utte guru hai rakha je sikh is da dhyaan kare; Kahe avtar eho jeha gursikh lakkhan da kalian kare. |

True disciple is the one, who knows God with him, from the perfect True Master;
And who adopts humility, sheds ego and follows the path of truth. True disciple is the one, who believes what the True Master says; And who submits to the will of God, speaks sweet language and loves the fellow disciples. The True Master takes care all the time of the disciple, who thinks of him; Avtar says, such a disciple himself can redeem millions. |
Meaning
True disciple is the one, who knows God with him, from the perfect True Master. And stays humble, leaves ego and follows the path of truth.True disciple is the one, who believes what the True Master says. And who lives in a surrendered mode (submits to the will of God), speaks sweet language and loves other disciples. The True Master takes care of the disciple, who thinks of Him (God). Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, such a disciple himself can do welfare of many other people.
